WHAT IS THE “SU NEGOCIO”™ PROGRAM? This program is designed to empower Latino business owners at all stages of business formation, funding and expansion. Latinos are the fastest-growing minority group and Latino enterprises represent the fastest-growing segment among U.S. small businesses. In partnership with MassMutual, local SCORE, and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce chapters, and other community organizations, the objectives of Su Negocio are: 1) Provide Latino business owners with financial education on a variety of business planning topics that will help them start, grow and transition their businesses; 2) Provide materials, including forms and educational content in English and Spanish, to be used for educational purposes, including “How To” seminars; 3) Develop a community network of Latino business owners and centers of influence that can be tapped into for ongoing support, education and assistance; and 3) Motivate Latino business owners to continue to be a major driving force in the U.S. economy through their unparalleled entrepreneurial spirit.
